The Establishment of The Foundation
The Foundation was declared as an irrevocable Public Trust for
charitable purposes on 28 April, 1996 at the Rolls-Royce Owners' Club
of Australia Federal Rally in Wollongong, New South Wales.
The charitable objects of the Foundation are the advancement
of the science and technology of mechanical engineering for the public benefit
and the advancement of education. The Trustees in terms of the
instrument Creating the Foundation are at all times obliged to consider
the views of the Foundation's Advisory Committee who are appointed by
each Branch to represent them in the Foundation activities.

Deductions for income tax purposes are available for gifts
of $2.00 or more and the Foundation is exempt from income tax. The
Foundation holds an Authority to Fundraise for Charitable Purposes No.
CFN 15747 under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 (New South Wales).
The Foundation is exempt from BAD and FID banking taxes in the State of
Victoria where the Foundation's bank account is conducted. |
